Today, dozens of women have graduated from the SAMR TRUST sewing program with certificates of competency upon completion. In addition, women are taught how to become financially independent. This allows women to work from home through contracts with local and international manufacturers and exporters.
SamrTrust Sewing Centre is a project aimed to help women learn a life skill and improve their financial situation while developing their social life. We started the Sewing Centre with a donation of 12 sewing machines, sewing supplies, textiles and a small stipend for a part-time sewing instructor.
